<description>Topic: India v England - 2nd Test

Message: CraftyStan wrote:I'm sick of this Indian bandwagon. The buck stops here!!!Ok so I have had a few wines but I cannot see the value in backing a team at such a short price when a) they don't need to win b) they were outplayed for large parts of the first test against a team that barely wanted to be there and c) a good betting pattern has its shelf-life and I think it is about time this relentless India backing stopped now that they are short prices for matches. Is it still value? Really?I will be laying India heavily for this next test match. Feel free to post abuse if they steamroller England. On a separate note I am very sad at the recent decline of Rahul Dravid. He is one of my favourite batsmen of all time and it makes me sad to see him in such strife. The once cast iron defences of &#34;The Wall&#34; are now open season for the bowlers. I hope some tme away from the game will help him out (assuming he will be dropped soon). The major reason England lost that First Test in my honest opinion is through the toothless bowling of main frontline spinner Monty Panesar. Graeme Swann did his side of the bargain by prizing a couple of wickets at key moments but Monty was sadly lacking when it came to his turn to contribute and to be honest he bowled in a pretty predictable and robotic manner for much of the second innings. I hope he is acclimatised now. Bizarre that with 386 runs lead behind him that Monty could not use that scoreboard pressure to his advantage.Hats off to Virender Sehwag.. he played a very risky and at times brutal knock and in the end I suppose it did break the back of the mammoth task that faced India.Good luck all.
Hi Crafty :)A tame draw. Hope you made some decent profit :)Have a good Christmas

<description>Topic: Tip for today

Message: happy days wrote:Hi :)My tip for today is to lay Chiaro in the 14:15 at Fontwell. This Hobbs trained gelding has been a consistent horse in his own class but has seemed to fallen out of love with the game. Having not won since Apr 06 he now finds very little at the business end of a race and always seems to hit a flat spot when the race quickens up. Today's opponents represent reasonable class and I fully expect at least one to out battle the selection. The current price of around 2.8 (has been drifting in the market) seems value to me but having a little in running at around 1.8 as well may pay dividends. This is the last one from me for a couple of weeks so I hope I go out on a winner

<description>Topic: Tip for today

Message: happy days wrote:Hi :)My tip for today is to lay Boss Hog in the 16:50 at Great Leighs. This Curtis trained gelding (previously trained by Blockley) has shown the type of profile I like. He runs his race but is outbattled in the closing stages or does not have the ability to quicken. Horses like this get used to being beaten. Second 3 times, Boss Hogg is likely to settle for a place again today. There are several unexposed ytpes and a well backed Haggis runner who between them should defeat the selection today. The current price of around 3.45 is fair value but I suggest splitting stakes between ante post and in running as this horse will almost certainly be in the firing line entering the final furlong. I would say put in a lay at 2.0 in running to back up your ante post bet.

<description>Topic: Tip for today

Message: happy days wrote:HiToday's tip is to lay Sign of Approval In Running in the 13:00 at Lingfield. This Burke trained Refuse to Bend colt has not looked the best of battlers. He is up against a promising Elworth colt and a Hannon horse who last won with today's jockey on board. The only proviso's is the weight recieved from the selections opponents and the choice of jockey (27% wins for trainer for a +31pt profit). The current price of around 3.85 is a little high so as this is a small field you may get better in running before this horse folds under pressure. Odds of 2.5 is what I suggest.
