Hi Big Cheese
Many thanks for the kind words.
Today's tip is to lay Chelsea Girl in the 15:20 at Folkestone. This filly trained by CG Cox has shown plenty of early pace in her races but invariably finds one or two going past her in the latter stages. This is a competitive contest with several dangers, notably Anne of Kiev. At her current price of around 14, Chelsea Girl is to big to lay so I suggest laying her in running at around the 5.0 mark. As she is likely to be in the front rank with a furlong to go I expect her price to come in to that mark before she fades in the closing stages.

Hi
I got a little greedy and tried to get Chelsea girl matched at 3.5 in running but she didn't run quite as well as expected and didn't get matched.
Today's tip is to lay Roman Villa in the 15:35 at Perth. He turned out y'day and came 2nd in a 2 mile chase. This gelding has some of the best form in the race and is likely to get placed but his win to run ratio of 2 wins out of 31 does not read well. At a price of around 3.0, with at least 3 others who are capable of beating him today he looks well worth taking on.
Others of note to lay are Green Agenda in the 13:45 at Redcar. Mr Johnston's 2yo's often need a race so at around 2.6 it may be worth taking this one on to small stakes.
Appraisal in the 14:00 at Goodwood looks to be somewhat one paced so with the draw and quality of opposition he looks well worth taking on today.

Hi
A slight profit on the day as I added to my exposure on Roman Villa. Appraisal won in good style and may well follow up next time.
Today's tip is to lay Mhilu in the 14:20 at Perth. Currently at around the 5.0 this gelding has a record of one from sixteen with his best form at further than this 2 miles. He won a poor race here at the end of July for which he picks up a penalty. There are a whole host of horses capable of winning this competitive little event so take on Mhilu with some confidence.
The next is to lay Lyical Assassin. This Longsdon trained 8yo gelding has his first run in the country today. His record of two from fifteen is not great with the Fontwell course not likely to suit his style of running. He has the highest rating but carries a penalty and has at least 3 promising rivals to contend with. At around the 4.0 mark he is well worth taking on.

Hi
A nice profit on the day with both horses going off shorter than anticipated. Roll on tomorrow!

Hi
I have two selections today.
The first is to back Grasscutter for a place in the 16:45 at Southwell. At around 1.25 I feel this is really a case of buying money. This gelding has been running well in his races, goes on the ground, will appreciate the trip and has only 2 serious opponents (of which one) Cross Compliance had drifted markedly. Only a fall will keep this horse out of the frame today.
The second is to lay Abou Ben in the 17:15 at Southwell. Although this gelding was fancied and won well first time out this is a much better race and he has a penalty to carry. At around the 3.0 mark, with so many dangers this horse must be opposed.

Well I set myself up for a fall there and boy did I take a tumble! Fortunately Abou Ben got me out of trouble. It seems Grasscutter did not see out the trip as I had hoped. Still, onwards and upwards

Hi
My lay for the day is Surrealism in the 15:20 at Chester. This filly was unfancied on her debut but ran a race full of promise. However I feel she will need another race to fully get the hang of things. This course will not suit her as staying will be her game and she does not come across as a horse with great pace. There are plenty of promising types in the race to oppose her so at around 2.74 she rates as a cracking lay.

Hi
Today's tip is to lay Leamington Lad at around 2.0 for the 14:50 at Market Rasen. This gelding has been running well and will appreciate the trip but with a penalty, his habit of making jumping errors and up against a serious rival in Ice Warrior I feel he will have to be content with the runners up spot at best. Ice Warrior makes the trip over from Ireland and will take all the beating. I would suggest backing Ice Warrior but at the price it is a safer bet to stick with the lay of Leamington Lad as a race such as this can often throw up a surprise result..

Hi
Nice to get one spot on
Long may it continue!
Today's first lay is Cape Royal in the 14:40 at Bath. There are many reasons to oppose Mr Bradley's gelding today. First is his out of form stable, then it's the less than favourable draw, the trainers affinity with h'caps rather than stakes races (he likes to have horses get beat in races such as these to lower the horses h'cap rating) and the nature of the opposition. At around the 5.0 mark (I expect the horse to drift in the market) this is a great opportunity to make some money.
The second is to lay Blue Dynasty in the 15:40 at Bath. This horse really does look to have a touch of the "slows". Today's trip confirms this. The opposition is not great but they wouldn't have to be to finish in front of Amanda Perrett's Dynaformer colt. Add to this her record of 2yo's at Bath (0-9) and having her fifth or sixth choice jockey on board and you have every reason to believe this is a race they are not expecting to win. At around 4.5 this is another excellent opportunity to make some "hard earned".

Hi
A losing day but not too expensive. Sh*t appens.

Hi
My bet for the day is to lay Bedizen in the 14:30 at Sedgefield. This gelding is in a more competitive race than his previous ones this season and has to carry a penalty for his win in a selling hurdle in June. His jumping can let him down and as there are several horses with the ability to finish in front of him today he rates as a cracking lay. However at the current price of around 10.0 I recommend we place a lay in running of 5.0 Bedizen is likely to be in the front rank with about 2-3 to jump and we may well get matched before he fades.

Hi
I have 2 tips for today.
The first is to lay Perception at 5.0 in the 15:20 at Nottingham. This Hawk Wing filly disappointed last time out when favourite and either has been slow to take to the game or needs further than either the seven furlongs of her previous races or the extended mile of today's race. The choice of jockey is also a concern. Add in the competition then at the price this is a good looking lay.
The second is to lay Installment in the 15:00 at Salisbury at around the 2.1 mark. This Cape Cross colt has run in some competitive races since his debut victory in May however in this small field over 6f I don't think the race will be run to suit and he could find himself outpaced by Rileyskeepingfaith in the closing stages.

Hi
My tip for the day is to lay The Kyllachy Kid in the 15:30 at Ayr. This Tom Tate trained gelding looks to be the type who flatters to deceive in his races. The perfect type for laying. Dropping back to six furlongs may not help in today's heavy ground. There are others in the race who are likely to improve past him, notably Box Office and liberty Diamond. In a race with so many in with a chance the 2.8 on offer is to good to resist. Lay, lay, lay

Hi
My lay for the day is Alfie Flits in the 16:30 at Hexham. This gelding has great potential and without doubt the best flat form in the race. However as we all know the transition from flat to hurdles is not always straight forward. The choice of jockey along with some pretty decent opposition lends me to believe the current price of around 2.6 is plenty short enough. If his jumping is not up to scratch against these more experienced rivals their is a good chance he will get beaten. This is not one I would stake my maximum on but I certainly believe this is no cakewalk.

Hi
My tip for the day is to lay Cry Alot Boy in the 17:45 Fontwell. This K Moran trained gelding won well on his only outing in March 07 on the all weather at Lingfield (NHF race). Leading after 2 furlongs, going clear then staying on well to record a comfortable victory. He would seem to have had a problem as we have not seen him since. Now on grass with a penalty to carry against some promising types I feel he will do well to win this. The good/firm going will not be to his advantage if leg problems caused the lay-off. His current price of around 5.8 is a little to high for me so I suggest a lay in running of 3.5. I would expect him to either make the running or be very close to the pace so am confident his price will contract sufficiently to get matched. Add to this the trainers record 0f 1-24 in NHF races over the past five years and the jockey's 0-9 over the same period (for this trainer) then everything points to the horse having a gentle reintroduction to the game.

Hi
My lay for today is Diamond Yas in the 16:10 at Pontefract. At around the 2.86 mark this Henry Cecil trained filly is well worth taking on. She has been running in h'caps but this is a competitive little claimer with several dangers. Her form is consistent but she has the ability to find one too good, something I am always looking for. Add to this the fact that Mr Cecil has an average record in this kind of race (1-5 over 5yrs) and the jockey's record on Mr Cecil's 3yo's over the same period (3-47) then it looks a value bet.

Hi
My tip for today is to lay Majuba in the 14:00 at Catterick. This k. Ryan trained gelding has been running consistently well without getting his head in front. He strikes me as a "short runner" who for whatever reason is not getting home in his races. Add to that his bad draw and having several opponents capable of winning the race and it looks like a horse to be opposed today. At around 2.5 (has traded odds-on) this is a value bet.
